Upcoming thriller Lucid Dream brought its three-month shoot to a close last week on June 29th.
Starring SUL Kyung-gu, KO Soo, GANG Hye-jung and PARK Yoo-chun, the film marks the debut of director KIM Joon-sung.
Last seen in period drama The Royal Tailor, KO will play Dae-ho, a father who finds a clue to the whereabouts of his son, who disappeared three years ago, through a lucid dream. Helping him with his search is Detective Bang-seop played by SUL.
The veteran star is no stranger to hardened investigators, having played them in the Public Enemy (2002-08) series and Cold Eyes (2013), among others.
Old Boy (2003) star GANG will play a psychiatrist, and Dae-ho’s friend, who helps him navigate his lucid dreams, while JYJ member PARK Yoo-chun, who impressed many with his feature debut in SHIM Sung-bo’s Haemoo last year, will take on the role of a mysterious stranger.
Investor and distributor Next Entertainment World (NEW) is expected to release the film in domestic theaters later this year.
