‘The Girl Who Sees Smells’ Webtoon, ‘Isn’t it great’ to come out from the monitor

Word balloons become the dialogues of the characters and their movements that only exist in our imagination become reality. The successful dramatization • cinematization of ‘Princess Hours’ ‘Full House’ ‘Tazza’ ‘Le Grand Chef’ and others has confirmed how developed the Korean cartoons are and how attractively they could approach the majority of public as well as the cartoon readers.
The cartoon which has moved to web and mobile market has become the darling of the public by the name of ‘webtoon.’ Now, webtoon is rather more familiar to us than cartoon. And, several popular webtoons have been actualized and met the viewers like cartoons drawn in paper in the past. During the first half of this year, three works were dramatized and loved by the viewers. The webtoons and the dramas has become inseparable now.

‘The Girl Who Sees Smells’ broadcasted at SBS from April 2015 is a drama based on the original work by Webtoon artist Manchie. This drama presents the story of Choi Mu Gak (played by Park Yuchun), the man with no sense who had lost his sister from a barcode murder case three years ago and Oh Cho Rim (played by Shin Se Kyung) possessing hyper sense who had miraculously survived the same accident, but lost all the past memories.
‘The Girl Who Sees Smells’ is a drama which maximize the fantasy-like situation to perceive smells by eyes. The main storyline of this drama was that Shin Se Kyung was solving the cases with Park Yuchun. The premise ‘to see smells’ is the point to bring about both of the concerns and expectations. But, there was no repulsion against it. The computer graphics was spontaneously melted into this drama of a overall warm tone and the great performances by the actors made it shine more.
‘The Girl Who Sees Smells’ had kept the rank no.1 among the Wed/Thurs dramas throughout its time of airing. This drama has been appreciated as the one that made a landmark in the romantic comedy based on the original works of Webtoon. The sweet romance between Park Yuchun – Shin Se Kyung and Namgoong Min’s acting as a psychopathic serial killer would bring a smile to the viewers who had loved this drama.

Charges against Park Yuchun? Police “In middle of investigating still” Agency “Waiting on investigation results” (Comprehensive)
The police and the agency of singer and actor Park Yuchun –who’s being accused on the suspicions of sexual assault– disclosed their stances, about the news reports on his exoneration.
A female department head from Seoul Gangnam Police Station said to DongA.com on the evening of July 7: “The Park Yuchun case is still ongoing in its investigation. We have not determined about the charges or not”.
Park Yuchun’s agency C-JeS Entertainment side conveyed, “We are waiting on the police’s investigation results. We will disclose our stance after the announcement of the police’s official investigation results”.
In the evening on this day prior, SBS had reported that the police will be acquitting Park Yuchun of the allegations by 4 women. According to the media, Ms. A –who retracted having made accusations against Park Yuchun the first time–, her boyfriend, and her male cousin were found to have tried to receive 100 million KRW via intimidation of Park Yuchun, and the police is planning on requesting arrest warrants for the 3 people, including Ms. A, under the suspicions of blackmail.
However the Gangnam Police Station is in the middle of investigating Park Yuchun’s case, and disclosed the heavy responsibility of investigating currently, too, with: “We have not decided on the charges or not”.

Park Yuchun has proven that he is an actor with no limits, through his last drama before joining the army.
Park Yuchun shuttled between action, melo[drama], comedy and through ‘The Girl Who Sees Smells’ (script by Lee Hee Myung, directing by Baek Soo-chan) and showed off a spectrum of acting that widened much more.
In the drama, Park Yuchun undertook the role of Choi Mugak who lost his sense of feelings after losing his younger sister to a Barcode murder 3 years ago. He captivated the audience from Episode 1. From sobbing acting that swallows up home theaters to comic acting that is a reversal that creates laughter in living rooms, he exudes opposite extreme charms. His ‘cuddly’ romance with Shin Se-kyung also was superb.
His eating broadcasts also gathered attention, too. In the drama, Choi Mugak has no sense of taste but a glutton who seeks stability in satisfying his hunger. At his passionate eating broadcast conducted in every episode, audiences bestowed him with modifiers likes ‘He is sexy at eating’ and ‘Sexy guy who can eat’.

[NEWS] At the ‘scene of a midsummer night’s guerrilla date’ with Park Yuchun
Singer-cum-actor Park Yuchun at present at a guerrilla date held at Mecenatpolis main square in Seogyo-dong, Seoul on August 20. On this day Park Yuchun turned out for an appearance around 10 PM. In a short time, a lot of fans and citizens gathered and had welcomed him with warm cheers, even late at night on a weekday. fn star found the scene of the guerrilla date on a midsummer evening with Park Yuchun, ahead of joining the army on August 27.
